The two wine growing areas St Emilion, Médoc

This 2-day tour along the paths of the Gironde is an exciting and balanced journey. For the truly curious and discerning travellers among you who choose the “premium” option, you will experience a whole loop of the department including a river crossing by car ferry and many more surprises.

You will live a full immersion into the region, an unforgettable evening and comfortable accommodation. The Gironde is bordered by four departments and crossed by two very important rivers, the Garonne and the Dordogne. Both rivers meet at the height of Bec d’Ambes near Blaye and the “Verrou of Vauban” to form “the Gironde” which flows in the Atlantic Ocean a little higher up to the Verdon. The Atlantic Ocean borders the western limit of the department along 130 km. The ocean and the Landes forest of the Gironde are fastidiously protected and play an important part in this lovely region blessed by pleasant temperatures.

The summertime atmosphere is sought after by European tourists and the northern part around the Montalivet site is appreciated by naturalists from all over the world.
