Bordeaux à la carte invites you to discover the vineyards of Bordeaux and Aquitaine, guided history, architecture and gastronomic tours in the regions where oysters and truffles are grown.
An area of great wealth, the Bordeaux region is considered the showcase of the greatest wines in the world. To the north, Cognac offers an equally prestigious identity for the development of brandies. To the east Périgord boasts a beautiful landscape and gastronomic culture.
To the south, Pau and the vineyards of Madiran are no longer in the shadow of the Girondine capital and produce wines of a “magical” terroir. To the west, the Gulf Stream that drifts by the Atlantic coast brings plankton to offer the best ecological habitat for oyster farming. These are the regions that I propose to discover with you.
After thirty years in gastronomy in the Bordeaux region, in Toulouse, then in Germany, I decided to create an independent business of private custom tours.
With my extensive experience, a tireless enthusiastic traveler, I am always curious and in search of authentic sites. I want to now share my knowledge and help to organize your stays in a private and personalized way.

After decades of working in the wine industry, his expertise and connections really allowed us great access to chateaux and experiences other bulk tour agencies can never provide. Stephan also provided many recommendations for restaurants, activities in the region which helped us greatly in our own travels. Top level, bespoke service with a professional, knowledgeable guide, with local connections and a sense of humour. What more could you want! Definitely a must when in Bordeaux!

We hired Stephan to tour around the right bank and sweet bank.
Before hiring Stephan, i contacted a few guides and only Stephan had the patience to check what I want to see / drink in Bordeaux as well as where to have my lunch plans. Instead of throwing me where he will usually take his customers to, i felt that he customised the tour for us.
Stephan asked us to be on time as of the chateau bookings and he is always very on time throughout the tour, which is good for us. Please be mindful of time if you book Stephan.
He has an extensive knowledge around the area and he always likes driving us around scenic routes. Stephan also sent us a few recommendations of restaurants to go in Bordeaux. We found his choices are great !
